THROUGH CHARITY ADOPCE NA DALKU

At every Burns Night we conduct a charity auction. The proceeds of the auction go to support individual underprivileged children world wide via the charity Adopce na dálku. These are the ‘Friends of Scotland’ children.

Following the success of our 2017 fundraising, we now support 6 children: 4 girls in India and one girl and one boy in Zambia.

Venona D'Souza

India • Born: 2.5.1997

Venona likes to study English. Her favourite activity is helping grandma cleaning at home. Her mother is missing, dad is a bricklayer

Gabriel Chimusanya

Zambia • Born: 6.5.2002

Gabriel likes to study mathematics. His favourite activity is making toys. His parents work in the fields & dad is lame. He lives with his aunt. He told us in 2015 that he would like to become a priest.

Thiona Moonga

Zambia • Born: 22.9.2003

Thiona is in 1st grade. She lost her father & mother is an epileptic so she lives with grandmother. Her favourite activity is washing dishes!

Gordon & Jana had a unique opportunity to visit our Zambian kids in person. We were in Zambia to do a charity motorcycle ride for Riders for Health, (now Two Wheels for Life) whom we support as part of our business Pole Position Travel.
