Burns night 2011

This year we head to the 4* Diplomat Hotel for another great evening which featured a new version of the Czech address to the haggis! Just 64 people; but a great time was had by all!

A new Czech translation of the Address to a Haggis was prepared and recited by Czech actor Jiři Knot.

Again, Alastair Edwards and his celtic band entertained us; with Alastair doing the Scots version of the Haggis.

An enchanting demonstration of Celtic dancing in full style was presented by the Caledonian club.

We were honoured by the brief attendance of HM Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Scotswoman Sian MacLeod, and her partner, Richard Robinson, British Chamber of Commerce Czech Republic.

Piper William ‘Chip’ Doerhring received a special recognition award from Friends of Scotland for his devotion for over 10 years to the cause!

Another memorable evening!
